Virtual Fish Fest & Creative Cafe
Fish Fest Virtual Creative Cafe is a monthly event, bringing together the community to share Indigenous knowledge, ecological education and coastal aquatic culture around the world.
This event includes Indigenous Canoe Culture sharing with Stephen Armstrong (Xem-Tum-Us) a member of Kwikwetlem First Nation and the organizer of the Fish Fest Indigenous Canoe Race. There will be Indigenous Storytelling, Artist sharing, Healthy living food recipes & musical performances, as well as Ecological Arts and Crafts. The programming is Family friendly and open to all.
During COVID19, Red Fox is offering this programming virtually and raising funds for our 2021 Canoe Race to keep the Spirit of Fish Fest alive until we can gather in person. We are intending to have our 2021 Festival and Canoe Race in Summer 2021.
Fish Fest Virtual Creative Cafe will take place the last Thursday of the Month (May to October) from 3:00-4:30pm PST. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for the Zoom link invite to attend.
Donate today so we can bring this virtual program to the community.
